Olivia Lone Bear Search Grows Beyond the Reservation
Begins Canvassing North Dakota Cities
JAN 20, 2017 – FORT BERTHOLD INDIAN RESERVATION, NEW TOWN, N.D. – The family-led ground search for missing Indigenous mother of five, Olivia Lone Bear, who went missing in late October 2017 announces that the search is moving beyond the reservation boundaries and is seeking Canvassing teams in the following North Dakota towns:
  • Fargo
  • Bismarck
  • Minot
  • Grand Forks
  • Stanley
  • Dickinson
  • Williston
  • Parshall
  • Watford City
Each canvassing team will be equipped with special maps and instructions on how to search in an organized way. Currently existing teams in nearby towns are checking streets, checking local wrecking yards, Wal-mart parking lots, anywhere a truck can disappear. Recently, there was a situation at a motel in Bismarck somewhat recently where someone froze and the person was found much later. That’s how easy it is for vehicles to go un-noticed. The family-led search
Team leads will be sent a map and high quality, up to date flyers, red ribbon, red pin on ribbons, updated press kit.
